Our young adult intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed specifically for the needs of younger adults, ages 18–25. Young adults can face a variety of life stressors from school, home, work and the community that are unique to their age group.
Our program can help young people who may be facing various external pressures during this transitional phase of life. We can help them gain life management and develop symptoms management skills as needed.
The intensive outpatient program typically takes place for three days per week throughout a short period of six to eight weeks. This structured program provides treatments and therapies geared towards you or your loved one that target issues and work on growth as well as positive steps forward.
The IOP level of care allows individuals to receive quality mental health treatment without the time commitment of a residential program.
When it comes to mental health issues, each age group faces a different set of challenges. As you might expect, older adults face different challenges than adults, and young adults face different challenges than teens.
That’s why a specific treatment program for young adults with mental health disorders can make a big impact in their lives for the better.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), nearly half of people who experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime begin showing signs of a mental health condition by 14. That number increases rapidly to 75% by the age of 24.
The earlier you or your loved one can get help from a mental health professional, the better. A Young Adult IOP from a hospital for mental health can help. Reach out to us at 602-455-5694 to get started with a no-cost, confidential assessment and start taking positive steps forward, today.
